Meaghan Mikkelson comes from a hockey-loving family. Her father, Bill, played in the NHL in the 1970s, her brother Brendan had a pro career in North America and Europe, and her husband Scott was a professional goalie in the AHL, ECHL, and CHL. Raised in northern Alberta, Meaghan balances life as a mother of two with her deep passion for hockey.

A two-time Olympic gold medalist in women’s hockey and NCAA champion herself, Meaghan played through injury at Sochi 2014 and returned post-motherhood to win silver at PyeongChang 2018. Off the ice, she earned national admiration on The Amazing Race Canada with teammate Natalie Spooner, and transitioned into broadcasting, becoming a respected hockey analyst for CBC, TNT, Sportsnet, and The Fan 960 – breaking new ground as the first female analyst covering Calgary Flames Hockey.
