Gerry Dee is the creator and star of the hit sitcom “Mr. D” on CBC/Netflix/Amazon Prime and the host of “Family Feud Canada”, which just completed its seventh season on CBC. He currently plays the role of “Templeton” on the FOX/Hulu series “Animal Control”, and guests stars in the new CBS comedy, “DMV”.
Gerry has been making audiences laugh for over two decades. His new stand-up special, “Funny You Should Say That” landed globally on Netflix in November 2025. He has been involved in sports since a young age and early in his entertainment career, Gerry played a fake sports reporter in a wildly popular TV segment called “Gerry Dee-Sports Reporter” which aired regularly on The Score (now Sportsnet).
Gerry was a private school teacher for nine years before giving it up for comedy. A dedicated father of three, he has written two best-selling books about teaching and parenting.
