Brad dreamed of competing for Canada since he was just 7 years old, after watching the 1988 Olympics in Calgary. At age 13, in his hometown of St. John’s, Brad discovered curling, and his journey to greatness began.

At the 2006 Torino Olympic Games, Brad Gushue was part of the first-ever Canadian men’s curling team to take home a gold medal – and the first-ever Olympic Gold for Newfoundland. Nicknamed “Golden Gushue,” Brad knew it was just the beginning.

During yet another breakout year in 2017, Brad won at both the World Championships and the Brier. Brad remains the winningest skip in Brier history and now has six Brier titles under his belt.

Sixteen years after his first Games, Brad led Team Gushue to the 2022 Beijing Olympics, bringing home a bronze medal for Canada – breaking the record for the most years between Olympic medals.
