Natalie Spooner’s hockey story – from backyard rink to Olympic gold – is truly Canadian. Natalie fell in love with the game at an early age, and quickly realized she had the potential to go ‘pro’ thanks to her skills, toughness and determination. After 3 straight medal-winning appearances with the Canadian Olympic Team, Natalie added a new role to her growing repertoire – mom – with an impressive “mom-back” to compete at the World Championships in under six months.
In the PWHL’s inaugural year, Natalie quickly became the face of the league as she led in points and scoring through the season. She led Toronto to the playoffs and walked away from the season with the titles of League MVP and Top Forward. She was also voted the IIHF's 2024 Female Player of the Year. Natalie’s record-breaking comeback is a testament to strong women everywhere – you can be both.
